Tower and museum

The Exhibition in the outside area is open 24 hours. The outdoor charts mounted on the original border fence give a good overview of the topic.

The Tower: over staggered steel ladders you can climb up tot he top of the tower. The climbing requires some fitness.

The Museum shows original escape boats and tells stories of escapees and soldiers in an interactive way through media, charts or hands on experiences.

Tower and Museum are open at the same time. Entrance fee is on a donation base.

In Kühlungsborn, An der Strandpromenade 1a
The border tower is located in Kühlungsborn East directly at the beach promenade not far from the pier. Go up to the corner Strandstraße/ Ostseeallee.

Please contact us via email for guided tours. 

We offer guided tours for school classes, adults, companies, sport clubs,  senior citizens etc. The museum has the facilities to show films.
